Asheville in Autumn

Alex and I both had the weekend off so we went up to Asheville to see the fall leaves.  Unfortunately, the Shupes were out of town, but we stayed at their beautiful home anyway.  Their house was gorgeous!  We had a great dinner in downtown Asheville and then headed over to the Shupe's for the night.  We went hiking on the Catawba Falls Trail the next day and had beautiful views of the fall colors.

We enjoyed the fireplace on a chilly autumn night.

 Good morning!!

We sat out here drinking our coffee for over an hour.  The view was amazing!

Sean and Kate

Sean and Kate have been planning their dream wedding for over a year now and this weekend it all came together!  They tied the knot at the Ion Creek Club in Charleston, South Carolina.  It was a beautiful southern October day with seventy degree weather.  The scenery was perfect, every detail was adorable, Kate looked gorgeous and Sean was on cloud nine.  I met up with Courtney and Tim for oysters before the wedding in downtown Charleston.  The Finnerans and Drennens met us at the wedding.  It was nice to celebrate Kate's wedding with part of our residency family.  So happy for the newlyweds!!

We stayed long enough to watch the toasts, first dance and cake cutting before we had to drive back to Charlotte.  I wish we could have stayed the whole night!  It was such a wonderful wedding :)

Litchfield Resort

Kate's wedding was this past Sunday in Charleston.  Alex had to work all weekend and was unable to go.  Luckily for me, my family decided to take a weekend vacation to Litchfield, a beautiful beach resort an hour and a half from Charleston and invited me to tag along.  I had a great time relaxing on the beach in eighty degree weather in late October.  It was a perfect way to spend my first day off after twenty-six working days in a row :)  What made it even better was that Grandma was able to go as well!

The amazing view from our hotel.  This was the first time I had been to the beach in several years that it didn't rain!!

 I love the beach :)

We spent some time at Murrells Inlet to eat and enjoy the marsh walk.  There is an island called Goat Island across from the restaurants where several goats roam.  They were so cute!

Pumpkin Season

It is pumpkin season and I am loving it!  I don't drink coffee without pumpkin creamer, a latte without a shot of pumpkin flavor, a bagel without pumpkin cream cheese, or cookies without pumpkin ingredients.  Kate and I finished clinic early today so we decided to go to the Farmer's Market near the hospital where there is a cute pumpkin patch.  We picked awesome pumpkins!
