A Very Thankful Thanksgiving

This was a very special Thanksgiving.  Alex and I are truly thankful to have the opportunity to raise such a sweet baby girl.  We are thankful for every smile, babble, snuggle, and the occasional nap Harper gives us :)  Harper is our most precious gift.  I am also very grateful for my co-parent, without whom I would most certainly be struggling.  Alex's inherent parenting abilities continue to inspire me.

We had Thanksgiving at Katherine and Tessie's house this year.  They hosted a beautiful feast for quite a large crowd!  Alex's parents came from California to celebrate with us and my parents drove over from Cary.  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving indeed!

Museum of the New South

I am on vacation this week.  It has been so nice to be back at home with Harper and Alex.  The weather has been awful, however, with rain every day.  We went to the Museum of the New South today in Uptown for a change of scenery.

Harper: 4 Months

Harper girl is four months old!  Over the past few weeks she has started to laugh, grab for things with her hands, and has discovered her feet!  Everything she touches ends up in her mouth.  Her hair continues to be a conversation starter in public.  She cannot roll over yet, but is trying to!

Harper's First Halloween

Happy Halloween!!  We spent Saturday trying to prepare for Harper's first Halloween.  We picked a pumpkin that was big enough to carve, bought some candy for trick-or-treaters, and tried to find a little baby costume last minute.  We didn't have any luck with the costume, but figured Harper was cute enough in her pumpkin onesie.  We carved the pumpkin to match Harper's outfit, hair bow and all.  It was fun having Harper help with the pumpkin!  We listened to spooky Halloween music and handed out candy to lots of little neighborhood kiddos.
