Blown Away

Alex, Harper and I went to Blowing Rock for a couple of days to explore.  We started the trip by hiking Linville Falls.  Harper walked part of the way by herself!  We actually took two different trails to see the falls from different angles.  We stayed in a cute little inn within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock.  We loved exploring the town.  It was very quaint with an awesome park across the street from all of the shops.  The next morning, we explored the actual Blowing Rock and ate at the local brewery.  We loved our stay!

I would have totally used a baby leash if we owned one.

 The littlest explorer!

Our second trail took us to the origin of the falls.

The water snakes around these rocks to become the waterfall in the earlier picture.

We had the cutest view out the back door.

Downtown Blowing Rock!  We should have taken more pictures!

We stopped to play in the park.

We liked learning about the legends of Blowing Rock.  The snow falls upside down here :)

Harper made friends with Grover, the official Blowing Rock cat.

My 1st Discovery Place

Today was my first full day of vacation!  We took Harper to Discovery Place.  Harper and Alex go so often that they have memberships, but it was my first time there as a parent!  It was so much fun to watch Harper play with all the activities and discover the animals.  She was able to pet a turtle!  We had a blast!

Watching the fish!

Harper loved growling at the bear exhibit.

She was very excited to ride this toy.

Making some noise!

We made pretty designs on this life size Lite Bright.

All of my pictures are of her back because she was on the go!

Leggo lover

We liked the water table.

Harper and I walked through the top of the rainforest exhibit.

I was terrified.

This little bird can say hello!

Hi birdie!

Jazz in the Park

Our neighborhood had a jazz concert in the park tonight.  We strolled over and enjoyed the music.  They had a food truck for dinner.  It was a perfect start to my week off!
