I chose a medical conference in San Francisco this year so that we could visit with Alex's family. We packed up the baby and flew across the country for a Bay Area adventure. Harper was amazing on the plane and never cried! She took a couple naps, smiled at the other passengers and was a perfect bubba! Once we made it to San Francisco, we rode the airtrain to the Bart Station and took a train into downtown. So many new forms of transportation for the baby girl!
Nanna, Grandad, Emily and the kids all stayed at the same hotel so that we could spend more time together. Harper loved playing with her cousins. We had an amazing time and wish we could have stayed longer!
Waiting for the airtrain!
Our very first train ride :)
The view from the hotel was beautiful.
We were very hungry when we got to San Francisco so we walked over to the Ferry Building Marketplace, which was luckily right across the street. Harper didn't last long and missed out on the cheese shop!

What else do you do with three babies in San Francisco... we went to a playground!
We drove over to see Emily and Frank's house just outside of San Francisco. It was beautiful and had an amazing backyard view!
Grandad and Harper
The sun was setting, but I just love this view of the hills :)

Riding the street car to Fisherman's Wharf!
Harper loved Ghirardelli Square and can't wait to eat the special chocolates when she gets older!
Alex and I took a picture here when we were stranded in San Fran years ago on our way to Australia.
We went back to our favorite Wine Bar on Pier 39 and had a bubbly sampler with oysters.
Harper was able to see the sea lions and hear all their funny noises.
The Golden Gate Bridge!
We told Harper that fussy babies go to Alcatraz.
We took a ferry over to Sausalito, one of my favorite surrounding San Fran cities.

First ferry ride!
The view of San Francisco from Sausalito
We stopped for a tasty oyster snack!
We took a little detour on our way to the scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
A picture I was looking forward to was a photo of me and Harper with the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove over the bridge with a beautiful view and five minutes later the fog rolled in just before we could get my picture! You have to imagine the bridge behind us.
We rode through town on the cable cars!
Harper loved it!
Can't wait to go back to San Francisco!
