A Memorable Memorial Weekend

Alex's parents were in town last weekend for a visit.  I had to work most of their stay, but the Scheers had a great time swimming with Harper, playing in the park and concurring a new board game.  We celebrated Memorial Day with oysters on oysters, pedicures, and an early birthday present.  It was a great weekend!

Uptown Charlotte was busy with the Speed Street 2017 event.  There were tons of booths celebrating the Coca Cola 600.

Weekend with Grandma

Grandma rode the train to Charlotte this past Friday to spend the weekend with us.  Harper was very excited to have Grandma at our house.  Harper and Grandma read book after book, watched Harper's favorite movie, Moana, and played dolls.  We took Grandma to her first Food Truck Friday for dinner and music to get the weekend started.  Saturday, we rode the Catawba Queen ferry boat for a sightseeing tour on Lake Norman.  Then we went swimming in uptown and out to dinner for tapas.  We finished Saturday night with a quick treat from our favorite bakery, Amelie's.  We had a great time with Grandma!

Alex, Harper and I went to a Knights baseball game with a few of the residents.  It was a very hot afternoon with two very active babies, but we had a lot of fun!  The Knights were playing the Durham Bulls, which is always a fun match up.

Wise Acres Strawberry Farm

Happy Mother's Day 2017!  Luckily I was post call and was able to spend the day with my baby.  Harper, Alex and I went to Wise Acres Strawberry Farm for the afternoon.  We had a great time picking strawberries, playing with chickens and bunnies, and eating fresh wood fired oven pizza.  Harper discovered that she loves strawberries!  It was a perfect Mother's Day.
