Pumpkins on Pumpkins

It is not yet October, but we went to our first pumpkin patch of the season today!  We headed over to Wise Acres Farm, where we have been strawberry picking in the past.  We saw chickens, rabbits, pigs, and goats.  Ethan wandered through his first pumpkin patch!  We picked several pumpkins, drank apple cider slushies, and ate fresh pizza from the wood fired pizza oven.

Fall into Huntersville

Ethan and I represented Novant Health this morning at the Fall into Huntersville event.  My booth had a super cute blond baby attraction who was hard to miss.

      

Pullen Park

We went to Cary this past weekend.  We were able to hang out with Poppy, Gigi and Grandma.  We spent Saturday at Pullen Park.  Harper had fun riding on a boat, a train and a carousel.  Ethan enjoyed riding in his stroller.

Ethan: 2 Months

Our Ethan is two months old today!  He is growing, growing, growing!!  At six weeks, he weighed over nine pounds.  Harper was only sixteen pounds at a year!  He loves to smile, babble, and watch Harper play with toys.  He goes in for his two month check up next week and will be receiving his first big round of vaccines.

      

    

     

      

Tropical Juice

Harper and I were inspired to make tropical juice by the tropical storm flooding our state.  We juiced pineapple and oranges.  The juice was delicious!  We were lucky and didn't loose power or have any flooding around our house.  Cheers to that!

Harper's First Day of 3 Year Old Preschool

Harper had her first day of three year old preschool on Tuesday.  She will be going two half days a week again this year.  Alex said she didn't even look back when he dropped her off!  She was very excited to see friends from her class last year.  Her favorite things about school are "playing with kids, playing with toys and eating lunch".  She is such a cutie and we are excited to see how she grows this school year!

  

I had to leave before Harper so instead of the classic backpack on the front stoop picture, we have a top of the stairs picture.  She was reading a dinosaur book before school, of course.

    

Tuesday was also my first day back to work after six weeks of maternity leave.  Alex's parents were so very sweet and thoughtful and sent me this beautiful bouquet of flowers.  The flowers were the talk of the whole office.  It made my first day back special and memorable in a perfect way.
