Christmas Cookies

Harper and I made Christmas cookies while the little man slept today.  She has been dying to make cookies!  She did a great job decorating the little treats and hopefully they are as tasty as they look!

   

    

    

Thanksgiving 2019

We spent a quick Thanksgiving in Cary this year.  We were lucky enough to have the Groundwaters in town with us.  Dinner was fantastic, as always.

Christmas Spirit

We had a blast this weekend getting into the Christmas spirit!  We went to the Charlotte Christkindlmarket in Uptown where we had gingerbread cookies, mulled wine, and fresh pretzels.  We will definitely be going back this season!

Harper has her preschool Thanksgiving feast on Monday so we made turkey cupcakes this weekend.  Harper just loves to bake.

  

   

Despite protests from Alex, we did get a Christmas tree this weekend!  I think this is our first ever pre-Thanksgiving tree.

    

They refused to pose this year.

   

   

    

   

Little man cannot be trusted with the ornaments.  We lost five ornaments in the decorating process!  We had to stop hanging them within little man reach.  Harper was never this Grinchy!

Ballerina

Harper has been taking dance lessons at the Charlotte Ballet Academy this year.  The studio is in uptown and very close to our house.  She loves it!  This past week, they had a parent observation day.  I was post call and was able to make it.  It was fun watching our little ballerina!

  

   

Living the Good Life

The kids and I had a fun Saturday in Huntersville (where my second office is located).  We went to Discovery Place for most of the afternoon then headed over to Birkdale Village for the town Christmas parade and tree lighting event.  It was our first look at Santa Claus this season!

  

Harper loved the vet office the best.

Fall Family Photos

Lisa's very talented friend Burleigh (who did Harper's baby photo sessions) photographed our family for our fall photos.  It was a rainy day, but the kids were good sports and Burleigh captured their personalities perfectly.  These are my favorites!
