Alex's parents are back on the East Coast! They flew into Atlanta on Saturday after being socially distanced at home in California since February. We are very excited to be on the same side of the country again! Alex and the kids drove to South Carolina for a quick meet up with Nanna and Grandad yesterday.

Last Minute Cary Trip
The kids and I took a last minute trip to Cary this weekend. We had not been since February. We were able to see Grandma too!
We brought out my old doll house for the kids to play with.
Ethan was a bit of a Godzilla.
We made fruit juice popsicles.
And muffins! The kids ate almost the entire batch of muffins themselves.
We were able to walk Mom and Dad's daily trail with them around the lake. It was beautiful!
The kids rode their scooters in the cul-de-sac.
Harper and Ethan helped Poppy with some planting.
Shark popsicle!
Harper had unicorn popsicles.
Ethan loves his popsicles.
Dinner with Grandma
Little man fell asleep at the dinner table as he was too tired from all the fun.
The kids drew faces on acorns with Poppy. It is one of Harper's favorite things to do.

Fall Vacation with Friends
We spent this Labor Day weekend celebrating the start of fall with Sean and Kate in Black Mountain. We rented a beautiful house with a pool, a hot tub and a sauna. Fitz is just a few months younger than Ethan so it was super cute to watch the kids play together. We had a great time playing in the pool, hiking and eating. Vacation always seems too short!
Our house in Black Mountain!
The kids loved this shower.
We had the most perfect weather. It was the first break from humidity and hot temperatures. It really did feel like fall!
We had sushi take out our first night.
Harper enjoyed having another little one to play with.
Morning coffee
The kitchen had a beautiful vaulted ceiling with windows up top.
We had to check out the view from the kitchen windows after Sean found the ladder.
We went on a hike on Bearwallow Mountain Trail.
Both kids walked a little bit by themselves.
We had lunch up top.
The view was beautiful!
Harper wanted to nap.
After our hike, we had beers and pretzels at a local brewery then headed back to go swimming.
Fitz and Harper
After dinner, we had a fire pit to roast marshmallows.
The kids loved these mega-bunkbeds. They did not sleep there.
Morning mimosas!
We started Sunday with another hike to Catawba Falls. It was crowded so we had to wear our masks.
We had lunch on a secluded part of the trail.
After our hike, we spent the rest of the day in the pool.
