Ecklund Christmas

We had our Christmas in Cary this weekend with my family.  It sure did feel like Christmas morning with all the presents, decorations and our normal Christmas Day menu.  We had a truly wonderful time.  Lisa and Andrew slept over Friday night with kittens in tow.  Those poor cats were very loved and terrorized by the children.

Harper received a lot of toys to play teacher / school.  She and Ethan played nonstop with all their new toys this weekend.

We had my favorite Christmas breakfast - muffins, breakfast bake and fruit salad!

   

Lisa and Andrew got Harper a tie dye set.  It was really cool!

Christmas in the Neighborhood

Last week, our neighbor held a canned food drive with Santa Claus in attendance for our neighborhood.  The kids were able to meet Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.  Ethan wants a rainbow mermaid barbie and Harper wants all the powers in the world.  We are still trying to find Harper's wish!

     

We walked over to Camp North End last week to check out the Christmas decorations.  We always have so much fun here!

   

  

   

    

       

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens 2021

We went to the Botanical Gardens with Courtney, Tim, Kate and Sean last night.  It was our sixth visit and we have not missed a year since the kids were born!  It was a rainy night, but we lucked out with only an occasional drizzle.  Due to the rain, a third of the lights were not working and Santa wasn't in house, but we decided to go anyway and had a wonderful time.  The kids truly enjoy playing with each other and I would never miss a chance to catch up with Courtney and Kate.  We started the night with dinner at Kate's house which is close to the gardens.  It is our goal to continue this tradition until the kids to go college!

Christmas Cookies

We made cookies yesterday with Meghan and Maren!  The kids did a great job and we ended up with four type of Christmas cookies.

Mommy's Christmas Birthday

For Mom's birthday this year, we went to the Ballantyne Hotel for a Holiday Tea and to the Charlotte Nutcracker Ballet.  We had an amazing time!  It was the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.  She even helped me wrap all my presents!
