We went to Blue Ridge, Georgia this weekend for Memorial Day. I have a list of houses I want to stay at in this area and was super excited to stay at this one. It is located on the Toccoa River, which is known for its fishing and tubing. The house was gorgeous with all Restoration Hardware furnishings and re-used barn paneling. I have never slept in a more comfortable bed. Alex's mom and dad met us there. It was a blast!
This was our room on the third floor!
Michele and Dave's room was on the main floor.
The basement had games and puffs for the kids to watch tv.
There was another room in the basement in which Alex and Harper stayed a couple nights.
The puffs were a big hit.
The living room was beautiful!
There was an additional "treehouse" with a piano.
Harper and Ethan loved the hot tub.
The kids tried to sleep on the couch in our room the first night. Just as at our house, we play musical beds frequently. The kids started on the couch. Ethan ended up with me in the bed. Harper ended up with Alex in the basement.
I loved all the details!
The clouds covered our view of the mountains.
Puppy and kitty pajamas!
We frequented the hot tub often.
The treehouse!
There was a steep walk down to the Toccoa River. It was beautiful!
Little man was tired out!
We had a lot of fires!
There was a railroad track near the river where we put pennies.
Harper fished a little.
S'mores!
Alex made the perfect marshmallow.
We took a trip into town to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway! It went right past our house and mushed our pennies!
We found our pennies!
The water is high in this picture, but you can see a "V" formation of rocks under the water which was a Native American trick for catching fish!
My little angel baby.
