Marching into the Holiday Season

We are marching into the holiday season!  The activities have started and I already feel exhausted.

Ethan looked so cute in his scouts uniform that I had to take a picture!  The kids to continue to have scouts throughout the winter.

The kids had Friendsgiving parties at school this past Friday.  I was able to volunteer with both of the classes.  I always love this event, it is so cute!  Fourth grade was set up in the cafeteria.

Ethan's Friendsgiving was in his classroom.  It was nice to finally see his room and talk to his teacher!

We had a Jeni's ice cream taste test Friday night with their holiday flavors.  It was delicious!!

Ethan's favorites were pistachio macaron, sweet potato marshmallow praline and iced molasses gingerbread.  Harper liked the white chocolate peppermint.  Alex and I loved hot toddy and goat cheese with red cherry.

Michele and Dave threw a Christmas Tea Party for Harper and her Friends on Saturday.  It was amazing!! We had lots of cute tea sandwiches, delicious tea, hot chocolate and desserts.  Dave played Christmas music on viola the entire time.  The girls had a blast!

We picked out our Christmas tree on Saturday.  We picked a tree that was terribly too large.  After a lot of trimming, we got it down to size.

Ethan brought an ornament to test out the branches.

Alex and I went to March of Dimes Saturday night.  We raised a ton of money for moms and babies to have the best possible start!

Hendrik had his birthday party on Sunday.  It was a video game party and the kids had a blast.

They played video games in this truck!

Soccer and Friends

I went to a Justin Timberlake concert with Kate Thursday night.  We went out to eat at an amazing Japanese restaurant first and I can't wait to go back.  I haven't kept up with JT's music, but the concert was great!

We went to a party for Harper's soccer team Friday night at the coach's house.  It has been a great season and I have loved getting to know all the parents and kids on this team.

Harper won the "Come Back Kid" award.

Harper's team played their last game Saturday morning.  It was their first loss of the season (missing a few kids), but they were still the season champions as they had the most wins overall!  Alex took Ethan to his game which was at the same time as Harper's.

After the games, Harper's team had another celebratory get-together at a brewery.  Alex and the kids went, but I had to stay and make a few dishes for Friendsgiving.  We had a Friendsgiving at Kate's house and it was great!

Happy Friendsgiving!

On Sunday, Harper and Nanna baked all day in preparation for Harper's tea party next weekend.  Ethan and I walked seven miles delivering information for neighborhood luminaries, which I am organizing this year.  Alex hosted a Learn-to-Curl for the trainers at his gym.
