Dominican Republic

This December 24th was Dave's 50th birthday!!  To celebrate, the whole family went to the Dominican Republic and stayed five days at the Paradisus in Punta Cana.  The resort was beautiful and the food was endless.  We all had a wonderful time!  It was a fabulous way to start our Christmas vacation!

Weekend at Em and Frank's

We spent last weekend at Emily and Frank's house.  It was fun to sneak off to see them over the weekend!  We are looking forward to seeing them again in two weeks!!

Emily's friend from school came over on Saturday to bake TONS and TONS of cookies.  It was fun to be the cookie tester :)

Christmas Cookie Exchange Party

Tonight, a few of my friends from school and I had a cookie exchange party!  We each made different cookies to share.  The cookies were fantastic and we can always use a fun excuse to skip a night of studying :)

Thanksgiving 2010

We have not updated our blog in forever!!  We have been lazy picture takers.  Luckily, though, we remembered to bring our camera back to North Carolina for Turkey Day.  This Thanksgiving, our friends Kia and Emily came home with us.  It was fun showing them around our town and involving them in our holiday traditions.  This past week was a much needed break from school and Philadelphia :) 

We took Emily and Kia to a few of our favorite restaurants in the area.  Being fellow sushi lovers, Emily and Kia just had to try Kashin.  The sushi was AMAZING as always!

Emily and Kia had never frolfed before so we took them to Alex's favorite frolfing course at Shearon Harris.  They were pretty good for beginners!

Saturday night we went to a North Carolina Symphony concert in Raleigh.  Mommy's friend from work is part of the Cary Concert Singers and was singing at the concert.  The holiday music was perfect to get us in the Christmas spirit!

Alex's Uncle Bruce was in Philadelphia on business last week so we were able to go out to dinner with him!  It was so nice to see family :)
