Atlanta Easter Bunny Hop

We headed down to Atlanta this past weekend to celebrate Easter with the Scheers and Schneiders.  After a week of warm temps and beautiful sunny skies, we were met with cold and rainy weather this weekend, unfortunately.  Luckily, Emily had prepared fun activities for the kids!  Harper dyed Easter eggs, participated in an Easter egg hunt, and watched a movie about the Easter Bunny.  On Saturday, we went to a fun indoor play space for the kids to get some energy out.  Harper had a blast!  It was a short trip, but it was nice to see our family!

Emily had prepared bleeding paper to dye to eggs.  It was neat!

Weekend Happenings

It was another rainy weekend in Charlotte.  We were all pretty tired because our children don't believe in sleep, but we forced ourselves to go do a few things.  Harper's preschool participates in an Easter Egg Hunt at a retirement center on the other side of town.  Alex was only two minutes late, but all of the eggs had already been found at that point.  The kids were nice and shared with Harper.  Luckily, Harper was able to get her energy out later that day at a birthday party for two of the kids in her class.

If only he would sleep at night.

Harper was very excited to open her shared eggs.  She got starburst, starburst and more starburst.

We went out to one of our favorite brunch places in Uptown after the failed egg hunt.  Mexican mochas, French toast casserole and homemade beef jerky can brighten any rainy day!

Jurassic Quest

We went the the Jurassic Quest event in town this weekend.  At the event, we saw true to life size moving dinosaurs.  Harper was able to ride a twenty-four foot T. Rex and pet little baby dinosaurs.  We spent nearly five hours exploring the exhibit.  We had a blast!

We had to wait in line a very long time to ride this T. Rex, but it was worth it!

All the dinosaur rides moved up and down and growled.

These were the walking dinosaurs who would run up to guests for a pet or a bite!

Harper loved the baby dinosaurs.

Harper's Art Show

Harper's preschool had an art show at a local brewery Friday night.  They had pieces of each kid's art work for sale to raise money for the school.  Grandma was in town for the weekend and was able to come.  She bought Harper's beautiful coasters!  It was a cute event!
