Busy Busy

We had another busy weekend!  We went to Camp North End for dinner while Alex's family was still in town.  The kids had their faces painted.

   

     

Harper had a soccer game Saturday morning then we went out for lunch and ice cream afterwards.  It was freezing outside, but we always love ice cream.

   

Saturday afternoon we went a neighbor's birthday party.  It was a Terrible Twos party and guests were told to come as their favorite villain.  Harper dressed as Cruella de Vil and Ethan was one of her Dalmatian pups. 

   

   

   

   

Sunday morning we met Katherine and VP for a play date in a park. 

    

    

Then we went to a Charlotte FC game.  It was a ton of fun and we won!

    

   

   

   

Our neighbors have season tickets so Ethan and I went over to sit with them for a little change of scenery.

April Weekends

We had a busy weekend!  Saturday morning, I did the MS walk with Cari in Kannapolis.  It was a beautiful day!  We walked three miles then went out to lunch.  Cari's son Jack was with her and I brought Ethan.  It was great to spend time with them again!  After the walk, Ethan and I met Alex and Harper for Girlie's soccer game.  The Pink Panthers lost the game, but they did a great job and we saw significant improvement from the weekend before.  Harper was goalie for a quarter of the game too!  Alex's family came into town Saturday night.  We explored some of Charlotte Shout and walked around Uptown.  Charlotte Shout is a festival celebrating local art and creativity.

Happenings

I didn't realize we had gone a month without adding any pictures!  March was a busy month at work so we didn't have too much planned for the weekends I had off.  Harper has also started soccer with a game every Saturday, which does make it hard to plan little weekend getaways.  April will be busier with several visitors, activities and a trip planned!

   

Girlie plays on the Charlotte Jr Soccer League.  She has hardly had any practice due to rain and overlapping time with Girl Scouts, but she is doing amazing!  We are super excited to watch her learn the sport.

   

   

   

  

   

   

We took the kids out to celebrate at Optimist Hall after Harper's first game.  Ethan plays Soccer Shots once a week too.

  

   

Thursdays are busy for us because Harper has either soccer practice or Girl Scouts and Alex has curling.  I took the kiddos for ice cream after Girl Scouts at a cute place in uptown a couple weeks ago.

   

    

Last Friday, I was able to get home from work early so Alex and I picked up Ethan from school together and walked over to Discovery Place.  It was fun to have some solo Ethan time!

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

  

Gigi and Poppy came last weekend to see Harper play soccer and to celebrate an early Easter with the kids.  Harper and Ethan had an Easter egg hunt in the back yard.

  

   

   

   

   

And then hunted for their baskets in the morning!
