Empire State of Mind
Yesterday, we went to NYC with a few friends from school. It is only a $10 ticket on a Chinatown bus! The weather was perfect and the company was great!
We started the day off at Reading Terminal Market while waiting for the bus to arrive. We all had crepes for breakfast!

Kitty Hawk Weekend
This weekend Alex and I took a quick trip down to Kitty Hawk to watch Alex's Uncle Bruce run in a marathon. We got to stay in a beach house with a hot tub, eat good seafood, and watch people run a super hard race while sitting in our comfortable chairs eating chips and taffy. The day before the race we went to the Wright Brother's museum and saw where they launched their planes.

First in Flight!

After we went to the museum, we went to visit these huge sand dunes. People were surfing, rolling, and bouncing in tubes down them!

Halloween Celebrations
This Halloween was going to be pretty boring in Drexel-land because of all of the exams scheduled around my favorite ghoulish holiday. Alex decided to go down to North Carolina to celebrate with friends instead. He was a Pacman dot along with a few other people. Out on Franklin Street amidst all of the vampires, Michael Jacksons, fairies, and monsters, Alex ran into Lisa! It sounds like everybody had a great time on Franklin Street and I didn't do too bad on the exams I had to skip Halloween to study for either :)

Game Night
Dave and Jeanyoung came over for dinner and a game this past Saturday night. They brought Settlers of Catan and despite the fact that we were all enemies by the end of the game, it was still a really fun time! JY was the only one winning in this picture, which is why she is the only one with a big smile :)

Wedding Goodies
We decided to take some pictures of the fun wedding goodies we have been using recently!
Beautiful salad bowl from Jen's family :)

Slow cooker from Sarah and Nick ~ we made some awesome caramelized onion soup for dinner! You can definitely call something a slow cooker when it takes 9.5 hours to cook!

Grandmom's sweet tea recipe in our Ona!

Teapot for a spot of tea on a cold night!

Tis the Day for Bank Robberies
While trying to get a money order today for Alex's teaching certification, WE STUMBLED ONTO A BANK ROBBERY CRIME SCENE!!! The local PNC bank that we go to was robbed a few minutes before we got there. The entire place was swarming with cops (including those on segways) and news station crews. We were lucky that we had not arrived a little earlier or we would be stuck in the bank for questioning! It was a pretty neat scene, but sadly, we could not get our money order there :) So we drove to the nearest post office instead. Then on our way home, we drove by ANOTHER BANK ROBBERY SCENE!! The guy had hit up another bank near by to his first hit!! Ohh Philadelphia... Here is a link to a news report: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/take_action&id=7052688
Blackberry picture... doesn't do it justice (plus a lot of the police were heading over to the second robbery site!)
