Light the Knight 2023

We did one last Christmas event in Charlotte last night.  We went to the Knights stadium for Light the Knight.  This event is usually very crowded so we purposely went on a weeknight.  The kids had a blast on the tubing hill.  I loved the lights!

The kids were trying to look like elves so they put their hats behind their ears.

     

Ethan went down first!  They also have ice skating on the field, but we plan to go back to Camp North End for more ice skating after Christmas.

Merry Cheesemas!

The Scheers came to Charlotte this weekend to celebrate Christmas with us.  We had a raclette cheese dinner and opened presents.  The Scheers got me and Alex cheese for Christmas and we got them cheese as well!  The kids were thrilled to celebrate a little early and loved their gifts.  We snuck in an extra Christmas activity Sunday night and went to Speedway Christmas at the race track.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens 2023

We went to our annual Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens evening with Kate and Courtney and their families last night.  It turns out doing it on a school night with kids who have tons of homework and activities is no longer a good idea.  The food trucks that are usually at the event were not there so we had to scramble to get pizza delivered for dinner.  It was a rocky start, but we had a wonderful night!  It is always so much fun!
