Great Wolf Lodge

Alex's parents took us to Great Wolf Lodge this weekend!  It was a fun get-away twenty minutes from the house and the kids had a blast.  There are so many things for kids to do at Great Wolf Lodge.  There was swimming, ice cream, build-a-bear, bowling, the list goes on and on!  Ethan and I had to leave early Sunday as he woke up with swimmer's ear from all the swimming.  It was a great weekend!

Dinner time!

As soon as we finished eating, we headed to the pool.  The swimming area stays open until eight at night.

Ethan absolutely loved these lily pads!  He did this a hundred times!

I didn't even get a picture of Harper as she was in the wave pool with new friends the entire time.  She went on some of the inter tube slides with Grandad too.

They had shows in the lobby nightly.

The kids made a build-a-bear.  They both picked the same bear, clothes and accessories.

Ethan pushed the petal to stuff his baby.

He was able to make a wish on and kiss the little heart that goes in the stuffed animal.

Dance party!

Our room had a cute Wolf Den area with bunkbeds for the kids.

The kids mined for gems.

Bowling

Arcade

There was also a lot of dragon fighting and questing.

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

We spent the last five days in Cary for Christmas.  It was a truly wonderful holiday and we all had so much fun.

I met my mom in Chapel Hill on the way from Charlotte to do some last minute Secret Santa shopping.  I drove the kids by Alex and my first apartment!

We went shopping at Johnny T-Shirt on Franklin street right next to Alex and my old favorite 2am food joint, Cosmic Cantina.

After shopping, we got a treat!

We walked around campus.

It was so fun to show the kids the UNC campus!

We took the kids to a new playground in Apex the next day.  The kids had a blast!

Harper made it up to the top nook!

We went to check out downtown Cary's new park Friday night.  It was amazing!  They have great slides for kids, beautiful walk ways and Christmas light displays.

We played on the slides for a while.

The kids liked climbing in these birds.

We met Amy and Kevin the next day for ice cream.

The kids made cookies with Gigi.

Christmas Eve Eve

Lisa's cats were a big hit with the kids.

The Christmas Eve party was fun as always.
