Alex and I went hiking at Stone Mountain State Park
today. Stone Mountain is a six hundred
foot granite dome that formed as wind and water eroded the softer layers of the
granite block. We picked the four and a
half mile strenuous trail to conquer today and are now super sore and
tired. The weather was beautiful and the
mountain was unlike anything we have seen before. The majority of the surfaces were smooth from erosion. We had awesome views of the
surrounding mountains and finished the hike with a pretty waterfall. It has been so fun living close to all of
these amazing hiking trails. Stone
Mountain is only an hour and a half away from our house. It was a great way to
spend a sunny spring day!
On top of the mountain!
We love sunny days :)
The views were amazing.
This was LB's second in utero hike! The first was back in Asheville when she was only five weeks gestation!
We can't wait to bring Harper hiking in our baby carrier!
Pregnant me, pregnant rock
The view from the summit was beautiful!
These people were rock climbing!!
The pretty waterfall at the end of the hike!
