We've been having fun getting into the Christmas spirit! Alex and the kids were in Atlanta for Thanksgiving as I was working. I did get and decorate a Christmas tree for downstairs to surprise the kids when they got home. We are currently building a fireplace (gas) in the living room so we have re-arranged the furniture. We have now had a Christmas tree in almost every corner of our living room at some point! Alex's dad came back with them from Atlanta to stay in Charlotte for the month and it has been fun doing Christmas activities with him!
Moo Moo
I missed out on all the yummy Thanksgiving food so I made a pumpkin pie when the kids got home.
The kids had fun decorating their mini felt tree.
I took the kids to a drive-in movie in Camp North End during one of Alex's curling nights.
We had hot chocolate and popcorn.
The kids were super excited to see Frozen on the big screen.
I have been very busy at work and had to get up super early to finish notes one morning last week. The kids heard me get up and followed me down to snuggle on the couch.
I had promised Harper and Ethan that they could pick out their own little tree since I had picked the big tree for downstairs. We went back to our favorite local Christmas tree place.
Little helper
Baby Maren came over to help decorate.
We bought garland to decorate the house this year!
Christkindlmarkt was held at the Knights baseball stadium this year so they could control and limit the amount of people visiting at a time. We had fun looking at the lights and the skyline.
Little Man fell asleep and missed the whole thing.
All of my pictures are blurry.
Harper wrote a letter to Santa. One of the things she asked for was a robot to do her school work.
The kids and I walked to Camp North End yesterday to pick up lunch and a couple things for Christmas presents. Camp North End has Mistletoe Market every Friday and Saturday (we will be going next week) and the decorations were still out for us to explore. We had a fun time playing in the Christmas igloos.
We always stop at Hex Coffee for coffee beans for me and chocolate milk for the kids. Then ensues the crazy.
The crazy
We went to the Charlotte Nascar Speedway Christmas last night. As it is a perfect socially distanced event, it was super crowded! We spent three hours driving through!
