Harper's 4 Year Old Preschool Photos

Harper's preschool had their professional photographer return this year for school photos.  Harper ironically wore the same dress she wore for our family photos.  Her pictures are super cute!

   

  

   

   

Dino Party

We went to Atlanta this past weekend for Hendrik's birthday party.  It was dinosaur themed and was a huge hit!  The kids had a blast and were exhausted afterwards.  Nanna and Grandad babysat the kids that night so the grownups could have a night out.  It was a perfect first weekend away from my study materials!

Do or Die in Dallas

After eight weeks of intense studying, I flew to Dallas last week for my oral boards.  I had collected cases for a year (every gynecologic patient I operated on or obstetric patient I delivered and a selection of clinic patients that met specific criteria) for review.  The panel had three hours to ask me questions about my cases or any obstetric or gynecologic topic under the sun.  As the physician giving our orientation put it, the oral board exam is the "most important exam of your career".  Needless to say, preparing for the boards was painful, tiring, and stressful.  Thank you to everyone who took in my family during this trying time!  It all paid off as I found out I passed today!

Golden State of Mind

Alex and the kids went to California the day after Halloween to visit Nanna and Grandad.  I needed some last minute, pretest study time.  They had an amazing visit!  They went to San Francisco for the weekend to visit with Andrea.  There was a trip to the zoo, an afternoon of gardening, and fun playground visits.  I will add more pictures once I look through Alex's photos!

Halloween Under the Sea

The forecast for Charlotte on Halloween was heavy rain with severe storms and a tornado watch.  Despite the warnings, we dressed up squeezed in a little trick-or-treating!  We only had about thirty minutes, but the kids had a blast!
