Even though Harper has been able to sing her ABC song for the past couple of years, she still has trouble writing letters and identifying the first letter in a word. I decided to start an Alphabet Boot Camp. We work on one letter a day. It has been fun!
A is for alligator.
We cut animal shapes into apples and made art!
We then tested different airplane shapes to see how far they would fly.
Harper helped me mark the measurements on the floor.
B is for butterfly.
We used vinegar and baking soda to inflate balloons with carbon dioxide gas!
We made our own butter. It took twenty minutes of shaking heavy whipping cream and salt. It was delicious!
Harper and Ethan had bread with butter, blueberries, and B chicken nuggets for dinner.
C is for caterpillar.
We used shaving cream to simulate clouds.
It rained through our clouds when they got too heavy!
Then the kiddos took the clouds outside to play.
C is also for cookie!
On Friday, we had a scheduled delivery of Duck Donuts.
They were delicious.
We made our own dinosaurs.
E is for Earth.
And eggs! We made frozen dinosaur eggs.
Elephant bread
F is for flower.
We investigated our fingerprints, looking for loops, whorls, and arches.
We had a frozen treat for an afternoon snack.
When it got dark, we played with flashlights.
