I think May might be busier than December at this point! A couple weeks ago I went to a CMC Ob Gyn Residency Alumni Dinner. We used to do these when I was a resident, but they stopped during the pandemic and have just brought them back this year! I wasn't expecting much, but had a great time! There are so many of us in Charlotte. It was great being back with friends from my years in residency and seeing residents from the years before and the years after.
The chiefs!
Dr. Yancey, the one with the Carolina blue tie, delivered Harper.
I could have taken a million pictures, but this was one of the only ones of some of my favorite people!
Harper and I had a late night cookie snack that Friday night.
Harper had her last soccer game Saturday afternoon. They lost, but she had a few great plays.
Harper and I made cupcakes for our neighborhood block party. They are supposed to be hot dogs, but some look like tacos.
The sprinkles are supposed to be onions and peppers.
We also made whipped feta crostinis.
And sour cream and onion deviled eggs.
The neighborhood block party was great!
After the block party, we went to Matthews for Catherine's twelfth birthday party.
We walked over to the Matthew's Summerfest after dinner.
We all rode a few of the rides.
This one was terrifying because I was sure it was going to fall apart mid-ride.
On Mother's Day, the kids let me sleep in and then we went to Camp North End.
We had to get a picture of Harper re-doing something from when she was little for school.
We had my favorite dinner, breakfast!
A few of my partners and I went out to dinner this week as part of our dinner club. It was so fun and delicious that I forgot to take any pictures. This weekend, Harper had a camp out with Scouts.
Alex and I spent HOURS this weekend removing ten years of mulch from our yard, weeding and then laying weed barriers. We still have to add the mulch border then re-mulch. We are sore and sunburnt! To reward our hard work, we went to a Charlotte FC game Saturday night. I love when the panthers statues wear their little soccer scarves!
It was an amazing game!
We won!
Lu was our mulch buddy this weekend.
