Pollen Season

The weekend before last, the kids had their soccer games.  They are doing better and better!  We went to Carowinds with our season pass on Sunday.  Ethan is still pretty nervous about the bigger rides.

Harper's team won!

Carowinds

Harper and I rode the Snoopy roller coaster.  It has big drops for a kid ride!

Funnel cake!

The kids have Scouts on Monday nights.

Last week, Irwin had a Multicultural Night.  Each class has a different country.  They do an amazing job representing their country!

Ethan's class had New Zealand.  He was excited to tell me all the things he learned!

He was not excited to show me his mask.

Harper's class had Mexico.  How perfect for our upcoming trip!

Alex built Chichen Itza with Harper's class.  Can't wait to see it in person!

Harper and girls from her class did a Mexican dance.  They did great!

This weekend, Alex and Harper went backpacking in Grayson Highlands.  They went with several dads and their daughters.  Ethan and I went to the Airport Overlook Playground with Katherine and V.

Ethan had a soccer game after the playground.

We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner after his game.  We love to pick different cheesecake flavors to try.

On Sunday, Ethan and I met Alex, Kevin and Amy for lunch as they were all in Charlotte!

Alex got great pictures of the girls and their adventure.

I just love the wild ponies!

After Alex and Harper returned, we all met at Camp North End.  LuLu tagged along.

Spring Forward

The week leading up to Day Light Savings I worked 117 hours so I really didn't get a chance to take any pictures of the kids.  Luckily, parents of their friends sent us photos from school happenings.  I missed their first soccer games, but they both won and played well.

I had off this weekend and we packed it full of activities.  We met Emily and the kids at Camp North End Friday night to hang out.  We ended up at Heist Brewery for pizza and soccer in the field.  We had brought Lu and she enjoyed four hours of walking on her leash and chilling in her backpack (with the fold out catio).  Ethan's soccer game started at 8am Saturday followed by Harper's.  Unfortunately, they play at different fields in Charlotte.  They both lost this weekend, but I was happy to see them play!  After soccer, we met some friends from Irwin at Camp North End for lunch.  Alex's friends had an anniversary party afterwards that we attended.

On Sunday, we met Kate, Sean and the kids for bowling in South Carolina.  It was a fun and exhausting weekend!

The girls at Irwin!

Apparently it was Dress Like a Book Character Day a couple weeks ago.  Good thing Alex knew about it!

We were treated to a few magic shows over the past couple weeks.

We have been studying Mexico in preparation for our trip.

Cousins at North End!

Harper's team is called the Tigers this year.

I actually don't know Ethan's team name.  He is on a different team this year and loves it.  It helps that his best friend, Ben, is on the team.

Back at Camp North End!

It was fun to celebrate Alex's friends at the Bloom and Bottle!  The kids each had two cupcakes.

Alex and I were so tired that we took a nap after this.  The kids played the entire time and stayed up late watching a movie.  Alex and I can't keep up.

We were very happy to bowl with Kate and Sean!
