Alex, Harper and I set off on a whirlwind vacation several days after I finished the boards at the end of June. We had spent months planning the trip and wanted it to be full of family time, new adventures and discoveries. Our first stop was Phoenix, Arizona. We stayed at the Omni Scottsdale Resort at Montelucia with Alex’s parents. Given that it is deathly hot in July and it is off season in Phoenix, the resort was not at all crowded. We spent our time swimming in the pool, snacking in the cabana, and enjoying the amazing views. The cabana was key with plenty of shade, soft chairs, and misters. Harper loved to nap poolside in the cabana. It was the first time I had experienced 110+ degree temperatures! We celebrated Harper’s second birthday while at the resort. Her party was complete with Disney's Frozen plates and napkins and a very special cake. We were treated like royalty with massages and pedicures. It was the perfect way to start the vacation!

Girlie is quite the fish and loved swimming. We are happy to say that after eighteen straight days in the sun, she did not have one sunburn.
