Friday Night Lights

Philadelphia has a Friday Night Lights event where they shoot fireworks over the Delaware River on Friday nights from July to August.  After missing the big 4th of July show, we were in need of some fireworks.  We ate dinner at our Bridget Foy's and then walked over to Penn's Landing for the show!

The fireworks were awesome and just what we needed!

Festivals and Bones

As part of our promise to spend every weekend enjoying Philadelphia, Alex and I spent our Saturday in center city.  We usually use the website http://www.uwishunu.com/ to find fun festivals and events happening around town.  This weekend was the India Festival at Penn's Landing in honor of India's Independence Day.  With the hope of finding good homemade Indian food, we went straight there!  Sure enough, there was great food, awesome costumes, and good dancing.  Happy Independence Day, India!

The beginning of the parade.

Finding the food was our first priority, then we could watch the pretty dancing.

My favorite bridge!

After the festival, we decided to go to the Mutter Museum.  I have been dying to go to this museum since we moved to Philly.  It has a huge collection of medical specimens, both normal and abnormal.  It was so neat!!  We weren't allowed to take any pictures inside though :(

So excited to finally visit!

Saint Peter's University Hospital

For the past three weeks, I have been on my Maternal Fetal Medicine rotation at Saint Peter's Hospital in New Jersey.  I have been staying at Pat and Dennis' house instead of the dorms at the hospital for obvious reasons.  My hours are terrible, but I love the rotation!  The hospital is just beautiful and the attendings and residents are great.  And who wouldn't love coming back to the Price household after a crazy day at work?!  I have one week left of these 4am mornings then it is back to Philly with normal hours.

Belated Birthday Celebrations

Almost a month later, Alex and my birthday celebrations continue.  Mom and Dad came up to New Jersey this weekend to celebrate our belated bdays.  I am staying at Pat and Dennis' house for my month rotation in New Brunswick.  It has been great so far with all of our visitors!  Uncle David lives here three out of four weeks a month, Debbie and Ryan were here to visit last week and my parents were here for the weekend.  Maybe we can convince everybody to keep celebrating our birthdays into September :)

Alex with our presents!

Belated birthday kids :)

Moo enjoyed her box.

NC State shirt to go with Alex's NC State license plate frame.

And a pretty UNC blue shirt to go with my pretty UNC license frame.  We are hoping these frames will keep people from cutting our registration tags from our plates again!

Happy Birthday Laura and Alan!!  The cake lady needs to have her ears checked.

At least it tasted amazing!
