Ethan's Alphabet Boot Camp - L

We have been working on the letter L.

Lighthouse

We made light using lemons.  We connected lemons in a series with galvanized nails and copper pennies from before 1982.

Our lemon light!

Ethan and I rode the light rail to get a treat.  The light rail in Charlotte is called the Lynx.  The Gold Line Lynx is free and goes right up to my hospital.

On the Lynx!

We taught the kids how to do the limbo and listened to the limbo song.

They crashed trying to do it from both sides!

Busy, Busy

We had a very busy week!  It was Ethan's last week of preschool and Harper's extracurricular activities wrapped up this week as well.

The ice cream shop we have been very excited about finally opened last weekend at Camp North End.  We walked over there for dinner and ice cream Tuesday night.

I love my charcuterie boxes from Babe & Butcher.

Seemingly Overzealous

We finally found a gumball machine, but instead of gumballs it was balls of sprinkles!

It was delicious!

We had Harper's end of season soccer party Wednesday night.  We met for ice cream at Two Scoops.

Harper got a trophy!

Blue Cheetahs!

Thursday was Ethan's last day of preschool.  Many kids in his class stay at the preschool for a Transitional Kindergarten year so there was no official graduation ceremony.  I decorated his door and the kitchen Wednesday night for a Thursday morning surprise.

Ethan's first day of preschool back in 2020.

Last day of preschool in 2023!

School's out!

Ethan had a birthday party at an indoor pool after his last day of class.

Ethan has been brining his balloons with him anywhere he goes in the house.

Friday night, we met Courtney and Kate for a summer kick-off party in Courtney's neighborhood.  It was cloudy and cold, but we had a great time.

The kids jumped on the bouncy houses and played field games for three hours.

Alex and I had a Sangeet to attend Saturday night for my partner, Progga.  Michele and Dave took the kids to Urban Air and kept them overnight!

Progga's beautiful henna - uterus and scalpel!

The Sangeet was at Founder's Hall in Uptown.

There was singing and dancing by the bride and groom's family.

We had a blast at the Sangeet, but unfortunately will miss the wedding because I am on call.
