Carving

We carved our pumpkins last night!  Harper picked out a cat pattern for her first pumpkin and then had Alex draw a ghost face for her second.  She was most excited to use her tools on the pumpkin.  We are all ready for Halloween now!

Trick or Treat Old Salem

We went trick or treating in Old Salem last night.  Mom, Dad, and Grandma came with us.  Harper was a pterodactyl and Ethan was a baby triceratops, per Harper's request.  We had a perfect, crisp, fall night to walk around the spooky historic town.  Harper thoroughly enjoyed trick or treating with her new pumpkin candy bag (no beach bucket this year!)  Ethan snuggled Gigi and fell fast asleep for the entire event!  We had a wonderful time!

Great Grandad Meets Ethan

Alex's Grandad and Lona stopped by to visit yesterday on their way down to Florida.  It was their first time meeting little Ethan!  Ethan enjoyed his snuggles and Harper loved all the attention from Lona.  It was a nice visit!

     

The Glow

We went to a pumpkin event just outside of Charlotte tonight with Jen and Dan.  The event featured Jack O'lantern landscapes with single pumpkin carvings and large displays.  It was amazing!  Harper especially liked the dinosaur display, although the spooky music and dinosaur sounds were a little scary.  Hopefully our pumpkins will be half this good!
