Lazy Sunday

We decided to go to Lazy 5 Ranch this afternoon.  Alex and Harper have been there before, but this was my first time.  Lazy 5 Ranch is an exotic animal zoo a few miles outside of Charlotte.  You can drive your car or ride on a wagon through the zoo and feed the animals along the way.  We saw zebras, giraffes, llamas, pigs and piglets, buffalo, oxen, deer and so many more animals!  We were prepared with four big buckets of food and they sure were hungry!!  Harper loved every minute of it!  Our first stop after the zoo, though, was definitely the car wash.

A hungry visitor!

The big birds were a little scary.

The llamas were our favorite.

We had to stand through the sun roof to feed the giraffes!

So pretty!

Hello!

We walked around the park after we had driven through the zoo.  The grounds were so pretty.

Harper had picked a pumpkin at the grocery store before the zoo and insisted on bringing it to meet the animals.

Chinese Lantern Festival 2017

We went to the Chinese Lantern Festival at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens last night with Ella and her family.  They have over 800 specially crafted lanterns at the festival as well as crafts for kids, Kung Fu demonstrations and shadow play shows.  We had a nice time walking around the beautiful gardens.

Welcome to the 2017 Chinese Lantern Festival!
