Thanksgiving 2014

We celebrated this Thanksgiving with the Regan Family at Debbie and Bob's house in Raleigh.  We had over thirty people at the dinner!  It was nice to have the Regans from Chicago with us.  The food was amazing as always.  Alex and I both had to work on Friday so we had to leave a little early :(  We are lucky it is only a couple hours drive!

Tessa and Katherine positioned themselves perfectly in front of the appetizers.

Debbie and Bob got a puppy!  He is so cute!

Lis did a beautiful job with the tables as usual.

We went around and all said what we were thankful for.

Friendsgiving

We had Friendsgiving Dinner at the Moynihan house tonight.  Tyler fried a turkey, Kate made awesome vegetarian stuffing, and we all brought a few side dishes to share.  It was a very nice Friendsgiving! So thankful for my fellow residents!!

Belated Birthday Celebrations

Mom and Dad came to Charlotte this weekend.  We were able to celebrate Mom's birthday that we missed earlier this week!  It was nice being able to show them how far the house has come and take them to a couple of our favorite restaurants in town.  It was a quick trip, but Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Happy birthday!

My cake was a little lopsided.

Moo loves when other people get presents because she gets a box!

No Place Like Home

They continue to make progress on the house.  Our projected closing date is January 9th!  We have come a long way from those sticks in the dirt!

We were very excited when we finally had windows placed.

The future island!

We are very glad we opted for the big garden tub in the master bath.  I plan on spending a lot of time in this corner :)

They are building a large park one street over.  We are super excited about it!

They put up our neighbors' houses almost overnight.  They are so fast!

 Willow Green Place

Alex's dad was in town for a quick trip and we brought him to see the house.  He missed his plane thanks to our detour, but we are glad he was able to see the progress!

 We love Charlotte :)

They placed the dry wall this week.  It is really starting to look like home!

Mom and Dad came into town this weekend to check out the progress!  They had not seen the house since before the concrete was laid!
