A Warm Winter Hike

We had seventy degree weather yesterday so we decided to go for a hike at a nearby trail.  It was so nice to get the kids outside!

Christmas 2019

This Christmas will be remembered as the Christmas of the Plague.  The entire family (except me somehow) was hit with a terrible GI bug.  It was Ethan's first time throwing up, unfortunately.  Thank goodness for a working laundry machine and Tylenol.  Despite the sickness, we did have a nice Christmas.  The kiddos enjoyed spending time with family, leaving treats for Santa and his reindeer, and opening their pile of presents.  Here is to hoping for a healthy 2020!

We had warned everyone about the plague in our house before the big Christmas Eve party.  So far, I have only heard of one transmission.

The Great Raleigh Christmas Trolley

We took a ride on the Great Raleigh Trolley on Sunday.  The event was complete with a merry Santa Claus, hot cocoa, snacks, snow, and a story for the kids.  Harper was brave and had a nice talk with Santa.  She even remembered to tell him what Ethan wants for Christmas!

She was so excited to speak to Santa.

Cookies with Great Grandma

Harper wanted nothing more than to bake and decorate cookies with Great Grandma this Christmas.  She had a wonderful time and made the most delicious treats!
