Charlotte Pride Parade 2017

We went to the Charlotte Pride Parade today with Kate x2 and Sami x2.  There was a lot of color, a lot of pride, and a lot of love.

Drive-In, Stay for a While

We went to a drive-in movie last night out in Albermarle.  Alex and I had been to this drive-in once in the past, before Harper was born.  We saw The Nut Job.  It was a terrible movie, but it was the feature playing on the kids screen.  We brought dinner, blankets and pillows and had a fun time hanging out in the car!

Harper played on the playground while we waited for the movie to start.

Harper's New Do

Harper had her first haircut tonight!  We took her to Pigtails and Crewcuts.  It is a super cute place with awesome automobile and airplane chairs, plenty of toys and candy on hand, and kid movies playing on the televisions.  Harper cried through the entire cut, but she looks so cute!!

At first, Harper was very excited to fly in this airplane.

The excitement did not last long.

So adorable!!

Totality

Alex's parents flew to the east coast for the Solar Eclipse 2017 event.  Alex and his parents met up with Emily, Frank and the kids in Greenville, South Carolina to watch the eclipse in the path of totality!  They stayed at a hotel and enjoyed the event with spectacular views.  I stayed in Charlotte and was able to catch an hour of the eclipse with my awesome glasses.

Watching the eclipse in style!!

Hotlanta

Alex, Harper and I went down to Atlanta to visit the Schneider family this weekend.  We love their new house and city!  The kids had a blast playing together and the parents had fun catching up.  We spent Saturday at the zoo and saw the most adorable baby pandas.  Alex and I are very excited that the Schneiders live so close now!

Flamingos!

Harper loved the elephants.

Gorillas

This mommy gorilla had a baby in her arms!

Harper fed this gorilla her pretzels.

It was a super hot weekend in Atlanta.  The kids loved their ice cream snack.

We enjoyed visiting the pandas.  The mom came out to check on one of her babies.

He was sound asleep!

The other twin was also sleeping.

Harper picked to ride a gorilla on the carousel.
