Ethan: 11 Months

Ethan is eleven months old!  He has finally started to say Mama and Dada.  He is getting very close to walking.  His new favorite thing to do is open the kitchen cabinets and pull out the contents.  He loves bath time, playing with Harper, and trying new food.  His favorite food currently is bread.  He is always all smiles and giggles.  He is a sweet, curious, silly little man!

Happy Father's Day 2019

We had a nice time celebrating Father's Day yesterday.  I took the kids to Jetton Park in Cornelius for a picnic lunch and stroll through the beautiful trails while Alex enjoyed some kid-free time.  We went out for ice cream after the park and Harper picked a dinosaur cookie ice cream.  Back at home, Alex had pulled out the sprinklers for some fun in the afternoon sun.  Ethan had his first swimsuit debut.  We all had a nice Father's Day.

They had a bunch of these little decks lining the water for private eating spaces.  We had a snack overlooking the lake.

      

The entire trail is about a mile and a half and, thankfully, in the shade.

Soccer Shots Brightwalk

We are very lucky to have Soccer Shots in our neighborhood this summer!  It is just down the street from our house.  Harper had her first practice this past Saturday and did great!  Several of the kids on our street joined as well.

Harper's Rocket Launch

We built a rocket this weekend!  Harper was a very good helper with the building process.  We took the rocket to the field behind our house and launched it!

Paddle Boats at University Place

We went paddle boating this weekend at University Place.  I had read about it a while back, but have been waiting for a sunny free day.  Harper loved it!  We had brunch at one of our favorite chain brunch places, The Famous Toastery, and then went out on the pond.  Harper was in charge of steering the boat and feeding the geese.
