To the Beach with Bonnie

Alex's parents flew in from California for a Memorial Weekend getaway in Isle of Palms, South Carolina.  We had planned for sun, sand and plenty of seafood for our vacation.  What we didn't plan for was Tropical Depression Bonnie.  Bonnie blew in Saturday and stayed around until after we left on Monday.  Despite the rain and the clouds, we had a wonderful time with the family.  It was Harper's first time on the beach and in the ocean and she loved it!!  We ate a bunch of yummy seafood and enjoyed our beautiful view from the resort, clouds or no clouds.  On our way home, we ate lunch in Charleston and took a carriage tour around the city.  It was a perfect trip!

We ate the most amazing seafood.  There were oysters on oysters.

We headed out to the beach early the day the storm hit.

Alex and I just love Charleston.  We have gone on several horse drawn carriage tours and every single one has been different and fun!

Harper loved the historical facts about Charleston.
