August Vibes

The past two weeks since arriving home from the beach have not been very busy.  It has been a nice change from our July schedule.  Our first week back, the kids had a cooking camp in Fort Mill.  It was a long drive for Alex, but the kids really enjoyed the camp.  They learned cooking and baking techniques, table manners and the importance of trying new foods.  The second week back was a pottery camp.  Both kids made multiple pieces of pottery that they are very proud of.  They did a great job!

Lulu had her hysterectomy the first week we were back from the beach.  She did very well with it and was back to her normal self within twenty-four hours!!

She did not like her cone.

The kids had a camp out in Harper's room one night.

Irwin has a new principle.  The school had a welcome party for him at a local brewery.

Harper used her new baking skills to make us apple sauce muffins!

The kids occasionally watch a show called The Floor Is Lava.  Alex and I made a surprise obstacle course for the kids after their bath last Sunday.

Lulu tried her best to mess up the course.

The kids loved it!

They had to get to the couch from their bathroom.

I took the kids to Camp North End this weekend for ice cream.

Ethan and I went back to Camp North End Saturday night for movie night.  They were showing Princess Diaries, a favorite from my childhood.  We had take out in our chairs and watched the show.

Ethan made a friend!

Meanwhile, Harper and Alex went to a father-daughter camp out for soccer.  The camp out was at the coach's house.  They had a blast!
