Sun and Sand

We spent the last week at Sunset Beach with my family.  It was the perfect way to end our amazing summer vacation.  We stayed at a beautiful house on the canal, which was only a short walk from the beach.  We were lucky enough to have Andrew with us for the whole week!  The week flew by, but not without birthday celebrations, ice cream adventures, fudge shopping, seafood on seafood, sandcastle making, bird chasing, kayaking, and bike rides.  Harper loved the beach.  She would spend all day playing in the waves and sand if she could.  As I say every time, I wish we could have had one more week at the beach.  Can't wait until next time!

We went out for ice cream at How Sweet It Is.  This was where Harper had her first taste of ice cream at just one week old!  She is an ice cream lover and tried a taste of everyone's cone.

Harper read lots of books with Grandma.

Andrew and Lisa gave Harper a unicorn float for her birthday.  It was a huge hit!

Harper loved our dock on the canal.  She fearlessly ran up and down the ramp.

Harper, Lisa, Alex and I all have birthdays in July.  We celebrated them all.

Harper loved her Frozen party treats.

Happy birthday!!

Harper loved blowing out the candles so much that we had to do it again and again.

We went out to eat at my favorite restaurant, Twin Lakes.  We have been going to this restaurant for as long as I can remember.  Alex and I used a picture from this place on our wedding invitation!

After dinner, we played in the park out back.

Harper and Andrew found lots of crabs.

We went to Calabash early in the week to pick up some fudge.

Harper was a big fan of the hermit crabs.

Grandma rented a kayak for the week.  Alex and I took it out for a spin.  Alex did all of the paddling...

Andrew, Lisa, Alex and I went out for an anniversary/engagement dinner at the Brentwood Restaurant.  It is a low country French restaurant in South Carolina with delicious food!

Cheers to the engaged couple!

Beach baby!

Alex and Andrew built a castle.

Mom and Dad took the kayak out for a ride.

Harper wanted a turn in the boat and pretended to be Moana for half of the ride.

We loved our walks on the beach.

Italian ice night!
