Wildly Hoping to Camp

We decided to go camping last minute this weekend.  I used Hip Camp to find an awesome spot with great views and fishing.  There was a cool hiking spot not far from where we were planning to camp, so we added it to our weekend agenda.  We hiked 40 Acre Rock in South Carolina and it was really fun!  We saw awesome rock formations and unique flora.  It would have been neat to see the little pool areas after a rainstorm with water still in them.  Ethan made me carry him the entire way, but Harper did a great job hiking!

We liked the plants growing in these little pools.

It felt like we were on the moon.

The hike through the woods was pretty too!

After our hike, we drove over to Chester, South Carolina to go camping.  Our site was on the property of Wild Hope Farm, which is an organic produce farm.  We were the only campers on the site and had beautiful views.  We thoroughly enjoyed camping here.  There was a dock for fishing.  The kids spent most of their time playing on it.

Grandad caught a ton of fish!

They had a pretty bridge that circled around the lake.  We caught a lot of fish over on the bridge.

We saw evidence of beavers!

Grandad took the boat out to catch more fish.

Alex, Harper and Ethan took a dip in the lake.

We enjoyed hot dogs and s'mores.

Harper did a good job of sleeping in her bag all night.

Little Man jumped up with us.

I was up to see the sunrise!
