It is the most wonderful time of the year, but also the most busy. I have unfortunately had to work a lot this month, but we have been squeezing fun activities in anyway. I had a long call last weekend, but we snuck over to the Carolina Theatre immediately after work to see It's a Wonderful Life. The theater was built back in 1927 and featured live shows as well as films. Elvis Presley performed here! It eventually shut in 1978 and survived a fire a couple years later. It was restored to its original glory and opened back up this year!

This is my favorite Christmas movie.
I had ordered a snow maker this year to add to the Christmas magic. We had to test it out this week!
I was previously fine with missing Thanksgiving, but as time went by, I realized I did want to eat my Thanksgiving favorites. We decided to have a mini Thanksgiving in December.
I didn't make this, but it was too cute not to get!
Harper and I made the most delicious gingerbread cookies!
Harper is doing chorus this school year. Her group had a performance in Uptown last week.
My office has been doing cute Christmas things.
Gigi came to Charlotte Thursday night for our annual wrapping party. We wrapped all of our gifts Friday. To celebrate, we normally go to the Christmas Tea at the Ballantyne, but I was too late on my reservations this year. We had reservations at La Belle Helene instead and it was amazing!
They had delicious mocktails.
We walked around Uptown a bit after lunch.
Then headed to a festive grocery store for some of our favorite gifts.
We went to the Merry Midtown event to see the Grinch and Santa Saturday morning.
The Grinch is my favorite!
The Grinch loved Gigi's Grinch earrings.
The Grinch knew Ethan was a naughty one.
The kids told Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
They had a cute hot chocolate station.
The kids made reindeer food.
They got their faces painted.
We had lunch at Optimist Hall after our event.
We had a quick break at home, then walked to Camp North End for Mistletoe Market.
Harper and Ethan went ice skating.
One of my favorite events is the Reindog Parade. All the pups dress up in their Christmas best and parade through Camp North End.
Harper's friend and her siblings had met up with us for the Reindog parade.
Next, we headed to Carowinds for Winterfest.
There was live Christmas music.
The kids wrote letters to Santa.
