Sunday in Paris was very rainy and cold. Good thing we brought our rain jackets! I had planned a lot of outdoor activities for this day so they had to be moved around in our schedule. We slept in a little bit after getting home late from Versailles.
She looks like a teenager already!
We went out for brunch at a cute cafe near Sainte-Chapelle. It was delicious!
This little man loves croissants!
We were able to go inside Notre Dame. They have done a wonderful job with the restorations after the fire.
After Notre Dame, we went to Odette, a pastry shop I have been dying to check out. They sell cream puffs and they did not disappoint!
Right down the street from Odette is Shakespeare and Co, a quaint bookstore with a lot of history. Pictures were not allowed inside. Every wall is full of books as high as the ceiling. With quaint nooks and crannies, uneven floors and even a bookstore cat, Aggie (short for Agatha Christie). The kids picked a few books and we had them stamped.
We walked over to see the Sorbonne, the university where Alex did his study abroad.
There was a torrential downpour on our way to the Pantheon. The kids have learned about Marie Curie and were excited to see her resting place.
Marie Curie's remains are still radioactive so her tomb is thick and lined with lead to protect visitors.
We went for treats after the Pantheon. I had the best milkshake I have ever had in my life.
We walked through Luxembourg Gardens after our treat. We saw a little duck family.
Instead of just visiting Sainte-Chapelle, we had tickets for a concert Sunday evening. The concert had a cello, violin, viola and a vocalist. It was lovely.
